HAMMERSMITH LONDON

Hammersmith London is a district in west London, on the north bank of the Thames, about 1.5 miles west of Kensington. The London Plan identifies the area as one of 35 major centres in Greater London. Hammersmith was formerly a Middlesex parish with an ancient church at Hammersmith. Today it is a residential and commercial district focusing on the arts, particularly music hence playing strategic importance to the city of London.

What are its Main Attractions?

The area has many places for shopping and dining. Hammersmith is home to the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, Slade School of Fine Art, West End Theatre and several notable restaurants, including celebrity favourite The Ritz.

Some of the things to do and see in Hammersmith are:

Ravenscourt Park
Ravenscourt Park is the largest park in north London and one of the most popular parks in London. It’s also one of the most historic parks in London and has many different attractions. There are tennis courts, a cricket ground, a football pitch, a children’s play area, and a lake. Ravenscourt Park is also home to Ravenscourt House.

London Eye
The London Eye is located on the River Thames. It’s an excellent place for families as it has an area for kids to play, and there are many activities that children can participate in. There is also a boat ride that takes passengers around the river, which is very scenic and worth seeing if you’re not too fond of walking or cycling.

Hammersmith Bridge
Hammersmith Bridge London is a suspension bridge that crosses the River Thames in west London. The bridge carries the A406 road across the river and connects Hammersmith in the Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham with Latimer Road in Kensington and Chelsea.
